How the webcam was constructed...

A weather-tight plastic electrical box was obtained.

A hole was drilled on the side to accommodate the camera.

A rain shield was fashioned from a piece of sheet metal.

The shield was attached with pop rivets to the box.

The camera was prepared and the focus adjusted.
(A package of electrical "duct-seal" is visible in the background).

Duct-seal was placed around the hole and the camera was mounted
inside the enclosure.  The block of wood is a spacer to hold the camera
tightly in place.  A small notch was filed to allow the cable to pass through.

The enclosure was sealed and duct-seal was applied around the camera
lens cover, the rain shield, and the cable.

The camera was placed atop the tower on the mast above the antenna,
secured with stainless steel clamps to the antenna mast.

A close-up of the camera in place ready to show Astoria to the world!
